Information indicated that the date of the preliminary meeting for the Lebanese-Israeli negotiations has been changed, to be held at 11 am Washington time, 6 pm Beirut time. The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that US Secretary of State Mark Rubio is expected to participate in the discussions between Israel and Lebanon in Washington. Axios quoted a US State Department official as saying that Israel is at war with Hezbollah, not Lebanon, and the talks will be open and direct and will discuss support for the Lebanese government to restore sovereignty and security of Israel's northern borders.
