Moawad stresses: the necessity of stopping hostilities and the return of the displaced to their homes

Lebanon's Ambassador to Washington, Nada Moawad, stressed the urgent need to fully implement the November 2024 Cessation of Hostilities Agreement.
She said that the Lebanese-Israeli discussions meeting was a good preliminary meeting.
Moawad stressed the integrity of the Lebanese territories and the full sovereignty of the state and called for a ceasefire and the return of the displaced to their homes.
She said: "I called for practical steps to be taken to alleviate the severe humanitarian crisis that the country is still suffering from as a result of the ongoing conflict. The date and location of the next meeting will be announced at a later time."
Ambassador Moawad thanked the American side for hosting this meeting and facilitating the talks.
