Today, Friday, Qatar condemned the Israeli attacks on Lebanon, calling on the international community to fulfill its responsibilities to oblige Israel to stop its repeated attacks and to force it to respect international conventions and laws. The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, in a statement, “The State of Qatar strongly condemns the Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon, and considers them a blatant violation of the rules of international humanitarian law and Security Council Resolution No. 1701.” The statement stressed "the State of Qatar's firm position towards the sister Republic of Lebanon, its unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and its full support for all efforts that enhance its stability and prosperity."
