Today, Saturday, US President Donald Trump affirmed his commitment to ensuring the continued transit of international shipping in the Strait of Hormuz “by any means.” He stressed that Washington will carry out large-scale bombing operations along the coast, while continuing to target and destroy Iranian boats and naval vessels. Trump indicated that many countries will send warships in coordination with the United States to ensure that the Strait of Hormuz remains open. Trump said: “We hope that China, France, Japan, South Korea and Britain, in addition to other countries, will send their ships to the region to ensure that the Strait of Hormuz does not become a source of threat.”
