The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, congratulated the champion Lebanese athlete, Letitia Aoun, on the occasion of her qualification to the 2026 Asian Games, following her honorable performance in the Asian Taekwondo Championship in Mongolia and her reaching the quarter-finals, after her distinguished victory over the Chinese athlete. President Aoun stressed that this achievement expresses the solid will of the Lebanese people and their ability to excel despite the challenges, wishing it continued success and brilliance in future achievements, and raising Lebanon’s name high in international forums. The President of the Republic considered that the successes achieved by Lebanese players, male and female, in international tournaments reflect the steadfastness of the Lebanese who, despite the circumstances their country is going through, confirm the presence of Lebanon and the cultural message it carries to the world.
