After Israeli allegations regarding Tibnin Hospital... the Ministry of Health calls for a field tour inside it
Fady Mahouly
The Ministry of Health responded to the Israeli allegations regarding Tibnin Governmental Hospital, considering that they are “nothing but a serious threat to an official governmental health facility affiliated with the Lebanese state, and the only hospital institution in the Bint Jbeil district that provides medical and health services to steadfast people in an area whose towns and villages are all exposed to continuous Israeli raids and targets around the clock.”
The Ministry confirmed that "inside the hospital is a center for the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Lebanese Red Cross, with the aim of providing support and assistance to the medical, nursing and administrative staff working in it. The Lebanese Army also establishes a fixed point at the entrance, and its dispensary has been moved to the hospital."
The Ministry held "the Israeli enemy fully responsible for any targeting that might affect this vital health facility."
She called on local and international media to conduct a field tour inside the hospital to ensure that those present there are exclusively members of the medical, nursing and administrative staff who continue to perform their humanitarian mission despite the grave risks, in addition to patients receiving treatment amid extremely difficult circumstances.
She stated, "This threat constitutes an additional link in the series of escalating Israeli attacks on health institutions, facilities, and ambulance crews during the recent period."
The Israeli army spokeswoman, Ella Wawiyya, had claimed that they had received intelligence information revealing that Hezbollah had seized control of the government hospital in the town of Tebnin in southern Lebanon during the war.
