Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri discussed in a telephone call the developments in Lebanon and the region and the terms of the agreement between Iran and the United States of America with the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Abbas Araghchi.  During the call, Araqchi gave Speaker Berri details of the terms of the agreement, especially stopping the war on Lebanon. Araqchi stressed that this clause must enter into force and be applied literally immediately, from day one, and throughout the scheduled negotiation period of 60 days, and that ensuring compliance with it is the responsibility of the United States of America and the guarantors of the memorandum of understanding. President Berri renewed his thanks to the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as to regional and international bodies, for their support and assistance to Lebanon at this current stage.
