US President Donald Trump said, “Iran’s support for its proxies in Lebanon is causing a lot of trouble.”
Trump added in an interview with Fox News: “We will have to strike Iran hard if it does not prevent Hezbollah from causing problems in Lebanon.”
He continued: “I am close to handing over the Hezbollah file to Syria and granting power to Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa,” and he believed that “Syria will carry out the mission against the party with greater precision.”
Regarding negotiations with Iran, Trump said: “Iranian negotiators will not return to their country if Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz.”
He added: "If the Iranians close the Strait of Hormuz, their country will be eliminated."
Trump indicated that "America may become the guardian angel of the Strait of Hormuz and take 20 percent of the oil."
He added: "We may control the Strait of Hormuz if we have to."
Trump said: “If we do not reach an agreement with Iran, we will impose transit fees in the Strait of Hormuz.”
