Prime Minister Nawaf Salam confirmed, at the beginning of the Cabinet session, that the forensic audit into the file of electric power production ships had reached its final stages, after approving the necessary approval for the Ministry of Energy to prepare the book of conditions about a month ago. Salam explained that the completed book of conditions consists of two parts: “general” suitable for any ministry, and “specific” for the ship file, calling on ministers who have suspicions of waste in their ministries to take advantage of the general part to conduct a similar audit. Salam considered that this step represents an important reform path to continue enhancing transparency and pursuing hotbeds of waste and corruption in various state departments.
