The Iranian Foreign Ministry affirmed its determination to defend Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of American military aggression. The Foreign Ministry stressed that the American attacks constitute a violation of the United Nations Charter and a violation of the first clause of the memorandum of understanding.
