His Excellency the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Nabih Berri, praised the content of the statements and positions issued by the heads of municipal councils and spiritual activities in the border villages and towns, especially the Christian ones in the districts of Marjayoun and Bint Jbeil, the most recent of which was issued by the municipality of Rmeish, which rejected, denied and refuted the false allegations made by the Israeli Prime Minister about the desire of the people of these villages to join the occupying Israeli entity. President Berri stressed that the positions and activities of the people of those villages, their steadfastness in them, and their adherence to their land and identity reflect the authenticity of their authentic national affiliation, which they will not compromise on under any circumstances. The Speaker of Parliament warned of the consequences of falling into the lies and falsehoods promoted by the Israeli political levels, which involve seditious agendas, the aim of which is to entrap the people of the border areas, whose concern, wound, hope, and pain were and will remain one, which is to end the war, liberate the land, return to it, and rebuild what was destroyed and is being destroyed by the Israeli aggression on a daily basis. Berri stressed the need for the Lebanese state and the Arab and international communities to move to stop the ongoing process of systematic destruction and blowing up of villages in the city of Bint Jbeil and the villages of its district and in the districts of Marjayoun, Nabatieh and Tyre, which, if it indicates anything, indicates the true intentions of the Israeli enemy to make large areas of southern Lebanon unlivable areas, which is no longer permissible to be faced in silence as is the case today.
