President of the Republic Joseph Aoun received at Baabda Palace delegations from the Liberal Patriots Party, the Association of Banks, and the Change Movement.
During the meeting, Aoun condemned the continued Israeli attacks on civilians, which yesterday resulted in the death of four people in Nabatieh, reiterating his call on the international community to pressure Israel to respect the ceasefire agreement.
He stressed that he would not, under any circumstances, accept anyone to negotiate on behalf of Lebanon, stressing that Lebanon had extracted from Israel an acknowledgment that it had no ambitions in Lebanese territory.
He added: "The state train has taken off, and the decision to exclusivity of weapons will be implemented. There is no alternative to the establishment of the state to achieve the interest of all Lebanese."
He continued: "We cannot wait for stability to be achieved in order to decide on the financial and economic issues," stressing the need to continue approving the Banking Reorganization Law and the Law to Address the Financial Gap.
