After the Umrah pilgrims bus accident in Daraa... Salam assigns Mitri to follow up on the wounded

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said in a statement: “In light of the painful disaster that befell the bus of Lebanese pilgrims in the Daraa region in the Syrian Arab Republic, and the resulting victims and injuries, I assigned Deputy Prime Minister Tariq Mitri to make the necessary contacts with the relevant Syrian authorities to follow up on the conditions of the wounded and injured, and to ensure the provision of the best means of medical care and hospitalization for them. I also asked the head of the Central Operations Room in the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Mr. Zahi Shaheen, to follow up on the incident at the field level.”
Syrian media reported earlier that a number of casualties and injuries occurred as a result of a bus carrying pilgrims coming from Lebanon being involved in a traffic accident near the Khirbet Ghazala Bridge on the Daraa Highway.
Ambulance teams transported the injured to nearby hospitals.
According to preliminary data, the accident resulted in three deaths and at least eighteen injuries.
