The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced “the destruction of the command and control center at the US Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan.” He said: “We destroyed the command center and hangars of the MQ-9 drones at the Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan using ballistic missiles. We also targeted, in the first phase of our response to America, the infrastructure and important military installations at the American Prince Hassan Air Base.” He pointed out in a statement that “the continuation of the treacherous American aggression will lead to harsher responses.” He pointed out that "America sought to move ships in the illegal passage south of the Strait of Hormuz by imposing its will on the Sultanate of Oman." He added: "We confronted American attempts to move ships in the illegal passage south of the Strait of Hormuz last night and forced them to stop. The American army also attacked a number of coastal bases and communications towers on our southern coast as compensation for its failure in the Strait of Hormuz." He concluded by stressing, "We responded immediately to the attacks by the American army."
