Iranian Foreign Ministry: American attacks constitute a threat to international peace
Fady Mahouly
The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the US aggressive attacks on the Islamic Republic of Iran over the past 24 hours, noting that these brutal attacks not only constitute a flagrant violation of the basic principles of the United Nations Charter but also constitute a serious threat to international peace and security.
She confirmed in a statement that these American attacks aborted all efforts to reduce tension and harm peace in West Asia, while only 25 days had passed since the signing of the agreement to end the war, the American regime had publicly violated almost all of the provisions of that agreement.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry pointed out that the American regime committed the most heinous war crimes by attacking Iranian transportation infrastructure, fishing boats, cargo ships, meteorological facilities, and buildings.
Iran affirmed its determination to defend Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity against American military aggression and any other aggressor.
She noted that the origin and source of attacks on Iran would be a legitimate target for defensive strikes launched by our armed forces.
