A 5-magnitude earthquake strikes Malatya, southeastern Türkiye

The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority announced that an earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale struck Malatya Governorate, southeastern Turkey, at 6:20 am today, Saturday, at a depth of 15.59 kilometers.
She added that a number of residents felt the earthquake.
The authority confirmed that there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries as a result of the earthquake.
Turkish Minister of Environment and Urban Planning, Murat Kurum, noted, "We have not observed any negative developments, but we are evaluating all reports."
