The Ministry of Works and Transport announced that it is following up, under the guidance of Minister Fayez Rasamny, the repercussions of the tragic accident that occurred on the main Keserwan Road at the Wata al-Joz Junction, which resulted in casualties, extending its deepest condolences to their families. She indicated in a statement that Rasamny made direct contact immediately after the accident occurred, and sent the Director General of Roads and Buildings, Engineer Pierre Maalouf, to the site, where he carried out a field inspection, accompanied by the mayors of Faytroun Rami Rizk and Wata al-Jawz, George Sfeir, and the Keserwan Municipalities Union, to determine the reality of the road and assess the risks and urgently required procedures. The Ministry confirmed that it is following this file with the highest priority, in coordination with local authorities and concerned authorities, and will initiate the necessary procedures in accordance with technical and administrative principles, based on the results of field inspection and technical studies, in order to ensure a sustainable solution that enhances the safety of road users.
