His Excellency the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Nabih Berri, received at the headquarters of the Second Presidency in Ain al-Tineh Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, where they discussed developments in the general situation and the latest political and field developments in light of Israel’s violation of the ceasefire and the continuation of bombings and destruction of occupied southern Lebanese homes and villages, in addition to the results of the visit of President Nawaf Salam and the ministerial delegation to Iraq. President Nabih Berri also received the Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates, Saqr Ghobash, in the presence of the Emirati Ambassador to Lebanon, Fahd Salem Saeed Al Kaabi, where the meeting dealt with developments in the situation in Lebanon and the region, and legislative cooperation between the Lebanese Parliament and the Emirati Federal National Council, in addition to bilateral relations between the two countries. President Berri also followed up on the general situation, especially the security situation, during his meeting with the Director General of Public Security, Major General Hassan Choucair.
