A team of inspectors from the Regional Health Service in the South Governorate raided food establishments in Al-Aqibiya, located within the scope of the town of Al-Bisariya, in cooperation with the town’s Health Control Committee and members of its municipal police. As a result, an arrest report was drawn up against a shop, closing a butcher shop, and a chicken slaughterhouse for violating health food safety standards, while written and verbal warnings were issued to others to regularize their situations and adhere to the approved health conditions. According to the field examination of the observers, an arrest report was issued against the owner of one of the shops because it contained quantities of expired milk, cheese, spices and candy, which led to its closure and destruction. The observers also closed a butchery that did not adopt the necessary health conditions. As for the chicken slaughterhouse, it was closed due to its failure to adhere to food safety standards. Warnings were issued to a number of institutions and shops in order to correct their violations. The Authority confirmed "the follow-up of its campaign through its inspector teams at the southern level, to correct the path of various food establishments towards commitment to everything that would ensure the safety and health of food for the consumer."
