The head of the Phalange Party, MP Sami Gemayel, confirmed that Lebanon stands before a historic opportunity that may not be repeated to restore its state, considering that the priority today is to restore full sovereignty and confine decision-making and weapons to the state, indicating that any reform or rescue will not succeed as long as the national decision and weapons are outside the framework of legitimacy. Gemayel considered that the Phalange’s battle is not against any Lebanese component, but rather against the logic of the statelet, illegal weapons, and subordination to abroad. Gemayel stressed, during the dinner held by the Sin El Fil Phalange Department, that ending any armed presence outside the framework of the army and security forces constitutes the natural gateway to restoring the state, calling for investing international attention in Lebanon to support legitimacy. He said, "The reassurance of Christians is linked to the reassurance of all Lebanese, because the solution is the establishment of a state in which everyone has equal rights and duties," noting that the first stage is to restore sovereignty and extend state authority over the entire territory, followed by the launch of the state rebuilding workshop. He stressed that each stage has its priorities, and that the priority today is restoring the state. Gemayel pointed out that the Phalange continues to coordinate with various forces and personalities who believe in the state project and sovereignty, considering that what the Lebanese are facing today is a national battle that determines the future of the country, and not just a political competition. He stressed that restoring the state constitutes the beginning of the process of rebuilding Lebanon, through the establishment of strong institutions and a productive economy that provides job opportunities and limits immigration, stressing that Lebanon possesses all the elements for advancement, and what it lacks is security and stability, and that it should not remain an arena for the conflicts of others, which would allow for the restoration of confidence and the launch of a real rescue workshop. Gemayel concluded by stressing that the Phalange will remain open to all those who believe in the state and sovereignty, calling for seizing this historical moment to build a sovereign, free and independent Lebanon that secures stability and dignity for its people.
