Regarding the Saudi-American attack on Iraq... a statement by Hezbollah!
Fady Mahouly
Hezbollah condemned the brutal American aggression against brotherly Iraq and its proud people, which led to the death of a number of righteous martyrs and the injury of a number of wounded, in a blatant and flagrant violation of international law and Iraq’s sovereignty and independence.
He said in a statement that this blatant and dangerous aggression against an Iraqi official body, with the participation of an Arab country, opens the door to extremely dangerous repercussions for the entire region, and only serves the interest of the American-Israeli project aimed at destabilizing the region, fragmenting the nation, and entering it into a spiral of tensions, disagreements, and fighting.
He pointed out that, according to the requirements of good neighborliness and the fraternal and historical relationship that unites Saudi Arabia with Iraq and its people, it would have been better for Saudi Arabia to resort to dialogue and open channels of diplomatic communication with the Iraqi government to address any tension or crisis, instead of being drawn into the policies of the American and Israeli enemy and drowning in and around their projects to destabilize the region and fragment its unity.
He pointed out that the American enemy’s shedding of Iraqi blood once again reveals its aggressive intentions towards Iraq and its people, and its constant endeavor to prevent its stability and recovery and to weaken its national and regional role at this delicate stage that the region is going through, and confirms the continuation of its ambitions for its goods and wealth.
Hezbollah declared its support for Iraq and its dear people, stressing that this aggression requires an urgent, firm and responsible Arab, Islamic and international stance to put an end to aggressive American policies, preserve the sovereignty of states and respect for international law, indicating that silence regarding these attacks, and continuing to turn a blind eye to this dangerous and destructive approach, will only lead to dragging the region into dangerous and undesirable consequences.
