The Progressive Socialist Party’s Information Commission announced in a statement, “Six years have passed since the Beirut Port explosion disaster, and the truth is still out of reach, and the Progressive Socialist Party, which called for an international investigation, is still wondering: Where have the judicial investigations become? And how long will the Lebanese keep waiting for the indictment to be issued?” She stressed in a statement, “Delayed justice is incomplete justice, and a case of this magnitude cannot remain hostage to obstruction and procrastination,” stressing that the right of the victims and their families to know the truth and hold all those responsible accountable does not lapse with the passage of time, and that the establishment of the state is not complete unless a judiciary is able to say its word, away from any pressure or interference. Accordingly, the Progressive Socialist Party renewed its position calling for the truth to be revealed without any delay, hoping that “the indictment decision will be issued soon, followed by trials that lead to justice, perhaps alleviating some of the pain that entered the homes of the Lebanese on August 4, 2020.”
