The Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement: Army units implemented security measures in various areas, including raids and setting up temporary checkpoints within the framework of pursuing those who disturbed the security, as a result of which 4 citizens and 21 Syrians were arrested according to the following: They raided the homes of wanted persons in the town of Brital - Baalbek, arrested the two citizens (M.M.) and (S.M.) for forming a theft gang, and seized a quantity of drugs. They raided the homes of wanted persons in the town of Kfarzabad - Zahle, arrested the citizen (A.S.) for carrying out smuggling activities, and seized weapons, military ammunition, grenades, in addition to military equipment. 21 Syrians were arrested in the Wadi Merhej - Arsal area for entering Lebanese territory illegally. The citizen (A.K.) was arrested in the Ouzai - Baabda area for committing several crimes: shooting and wounding a person, causing problems, theft, imposing fraud, and drug use. The seized items were handed over to the competent authorities, and investigations were launched into the detainees under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
