In Batroun...they were taken to the hospital in a hysterical condition
Fady Mahouly
A family of four Syrian nationals, including a mother, an 18-year-old daughter, and two minor sons aged about 10 and 11, arrived at Batroun Hospital in the evening, after they showed hysterical symptoms, especially in the eldest daughter.
According to the details, the young woman was screaming and behaving in strange ways, saying that her father gave her chocolate, indicating that she ate it and became in this state. It is also likely that her two brothers had also consumed it before these symptoms appeared.
Preliminary data indicate that there are suspicions that the chocolate may contain a narcotic substance, but this is still awaiting the results of official investigations and tests to confirm the nature of the substance.
As a result, a patrol from the Internal Security Forces and Army Intelligence came to the hospital and opened an investigation into the incident. The father was also arrested on suspicion to complete the investigation and uncover the circumstances of the case.
