The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the signing of a joint defense agreement between Pakistan, Turkey and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing that the agreement reflects a joint commitment to enhancing security, and stipulates that any armed attack on any of the three countries is considered an attack on all of them. The announcement came after the Makkah Joint Defense Summit was held, with the participation of the Saudi Crown Prince, the Turkish President, and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, where relations between the three countries and a number of issues of common interest were reviewed, based on the historical ties and existing defense cooperation between them. The leaders signed the "Mecca Joint Defense Agreement", which aims to enhance security, peace and stability in the region and beyond, in addition to developing aspects of defense cooperation between the three countries.
