The representative of fuel distributors, Fadi Abu Chakra, announced, “After the decision of the Council of Ministers on Friday, and after the intervention of the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, the Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, and the Ministers of Finance, Yassin Jaber, the Ministers of Economy, Amer Al-Bassat, and Energy, Joe Al-Sada, as well as the Supreme Council of Customs, and with the cooperation of importing companies, we reached a solution today that requires unloading the ships that were parked at sea.” He also announced that "there is a pledge that, starting tomorrow morning, large quantities of fuel will be distributed in the Lebanese market." Abu Chakra reassured citizens that, “starting tomorrow morning, fuel will begin to be delivered to stations on all Lebanese territories, and the fuel price schedule that will be issued on Tuesday will witness a slight decline in prices.” For his part, the head of the station owners’ union, George Al-Barakas, announced that the gasoline crisis resulting from not granting unloading permission to the ships is behind us, and the ships located off the Lebanese shores will begin unloading. I hope that the delivery of goods will begin as soon as possible from the companies’ warehouses, and that what our brothers in the south and the Bekaa suffered from the forced closure of their stations will not be repeated in the future.
