The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: “In the context of the continuous follow-up carried out by the Internal Security Forces to pursue and arrest those involved in drug crimes, and within the security plan developed by the Judicial Police Unit to combat this scourge and limit its spread, on 7/17/2026, information was available to the Central Narcotics Control Office about preparations for a drug smuggling operation into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through a shipping company. Through monitoring and follow-up of the shipment, the person transporting the package was arrested while delivering it to the shipping company, and it was found that his name is: H. n. (Born in 1977, Lebanese) Upon searching the parcel, approximately 5,000 Captagon pills were seized, professionally packed inside a vase box. The legal requirements were carried out against the detainee, and the investigation is still ongoing to arrest all those involved, under the supervision of the competent judiciary.”
