Representative Ghassan Hasbani considered, “What we have reached today between Lebanon and Israel is not negotiations on broad lines, but rather a discussion on details to establish a kind of model for the deployment of the Lebanese army and Israeli withdrawal, but that model still requires a comprehensive solution that guarantees the implementation of the agreed upon conditions, starting with a ceasefire, all the way to withdrawal from Lebanese territory.” He said: "What I see today is a discussion about technical and military details to implement what may be agreed upon in the long term, but I do not see a final solution currently, but rather gradual progress in the course of negotiations and a paving the way for later stages." He considered that "Hezbollah's refusal to negotiate, its adherence to its weapons, and its waiting for orders from Iran to restart fire, all of these things make any type of negotiations unsustainable, because any solution is based on withdrawing Hezbollah's weapons and Israeli withdrawal," stressing that "the solution in Lebanon lies in confining weapons to the state."
