Army Commander, General Rudolf Heikal, attended a live ammunition training exercise in the Brital outpost, which was carried out by the 4th Land Border Regiment and other units of the ground forces, with the participation of the Air Force.
He then inspected the leadership of the Fourth Land Border Regiment, where he opened the operations room, and viewed its modern equipment used to carry out missions, especially border control and protection. He also opened a memorial to the martyrs of the regiment.
General Heikal praised the professionalism of the soldiers, saying: “I draw from you strength and determination, and I sense your faith and high morale. You give hope to every Lebanese, and stand guard against anyone who tries to harm our homeland.” He stressed the importance of continuous training and integration between units, noting that the primary goal of the leadership is to develop the capabilities of the institution through its own capabilities, and that it is working to secure the necessary support for the army through friendly and brotherly countries.
He touched on the role of the army, which is in the interest of the nation: “We seek, through our efforts and sacrifices, to preserve Lebanon’s security and internal stability.” He addressed them by saying: “He who does not resemble his army does not resemble his country.”
He added: "We will not abandon our basic tasks of defending every inch of our land."
