Today, Tuesday, the Syrian Fourth Criminal Court in Damascus ruled to execute the accused Wassim al-Assad, a relative of the ousted Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, and to confiscate his movable and immovable assets, after convicting him of committing crimes against humanity and war crimes against the Syrian people during the era of the former regime. The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that this came during the sixth session of the trial designated for pronouncing the verdict.
