The Holy See Press House in the Vatican announced that Pope Leo XIV received, today, Thursday, the President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun. The talks, which took place in the State Secretariat, focused mainly on the “Tripartite Framework Agreement” signed between the United States, Israel, and Lebanon, aiming to stabilize Lebanon’s southern borders and achieve a just and lasting peace. The Holy See expressed its satisfaction with the signing of the agreement, while at the same time expressing serious concern about the difficulties facing its implementation, and affirming its support for the efforts made in this direction.
