The Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, received the founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Seven Management Group, Rabie Fakhr El-Din, who presented him with a copy of the book Beirut Habibi, published by Assouline Publishing House, and briefed him on the path that led to the completion of this book in coordination and cooperation with the publishing house. President Salam Fakhr El-Din congratulated him on this initiative, stressing the importance of such publications in preserving Beirut’s memory, introducing its history and cultural and civilizational identity, and conveying its image to the world beyond the wars and crises it has been reduced to, so that it appears as it is: an Arab Mediterranean city, rich in its diversity, heritage, and creativity of its people, and with its constant ability to renew. Salam also discussed with Sheikh Faisal Ahmed Ali Al Thani, Director of the International Relations Office of His Highness Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Olympic Council of Asia, and the accompanying delegation the situation of the Lebanese Olympic Committee, in a way that preserves the interest of Lebanese sports and ensures respect for the applicable laws and regulations and the Olympic Charter. Salam also discussed with MP Ahmed Al-Khair development affairs related to the northern region, especially the restoration and rehabilitation of the road leading to President Rene Moawad Airport. Al-Khair indicated that during the meeting he touched on the issue of the young man Khaled Omar Malas, who was shot in Australia, pointing out that President Salam promised to follow up on the file with the Lebanese ambassador and consul there.
