Various highways and main squares in the Lebanese governorates witnessed a widespread spread of billboards for the independent national campaign that carried the slogan “Lebanon is our weapon.”
The most prominent visual scene of the initiative addresses citizens with intense messages emphasizing stability, coexistence, and strengthening the exclusivity of weapons in the hands of the state and its institutions.
The widespread paintings bore a carefully thought-out visual identity, topped by the Cedar of Lebanon consisting of separate dots symbolizing the solidarity of all Lebanese regions and components, in addition to the central slogan of the campaign: “Our weapons, our voice, our unity, and our identity.” The paintings were also accompanied by phrases that were direct and close to the street.
Those in charge of the campaign stressed that this advertising spread was not limited to the capital, Beirut alone, but rather included various Lebanese regions, to ensure that the comprehensive national message reached all the people of the country. This step received remarkable interaction in the public sphere, as observers considered it a qualitative step to present a balanced civil discourse that avoids tension, and urges citizens to rally around state institutions and the Lebanese army.
This campaign confirms that the Lebanese have no choice but to rally around state institutions, in order to get out of the successive crises that are afflicting Lebanon, as well as to reject all forms of strife and emphasize internal unity among its people.
