Former President of the Progressive Socialist Party, Walid Jumblatt, responded to US Ambassador Michel Issa, confirming his rejection of the document known as the “Tripartite Framework.” Jumblatt said in a post on the “X” platform: “It seems that Ambassador Issa, amid his many cultural and political preoccupations, was unable to read my comments” regarding the document, stressing the need to replace it with the armistice agreement cited by the Taif Agreement and the 1701 Agreement.
