The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, congratulated the Lebanese basketball team players for their victory over the South Korean team in the match that was held this evening at Nihad Nofal Stadium in Zouk Mikael, within the framework of the second round of the Asian qualifiers for the Basketball World Cup, which will be held in Qatar next year. President Aoun, who came to Nihad Nofal Stadium and met with the Lebanese national team players, said that this victory enhances Lebanon’s chances of participating in the most important international basketball tournament, and constitutes an incentive for more success and raising Lebanon’s name high.
