Based on the directives of the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, the General Directorate of the Presidency of the Republic, in cooperation with the Lebanese Red Cross, organized a blood donation campaign, in which the President of the Republic and a number of the Presidency’s employees and workers participated. The campaign was supervised by the President of the Lebanese Red Cross, Dr. Antoine Zoghbi, the Secretary-General of the Red Cross, Mr. George Kettani, and a number of their assistants. Dr. Al-Zoghbi spoke about the campaign and said: “As you know, blood is life. His Excellency the President would like today to launch the blood donation campaign from here, from the Republican Palace, to say that this is the culture of life, love, and openness to all, which is represented by distributing blood to all Lebanese. This is the primary goal of the Lebanese Red Cross, especially at this stage in which we need this matter. He concluded by saying: "It is a good example today that is given by the Presidential Palace and by His Excellency the President."
