Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced on Saturday that his country will begin imposing restrictions on the government and official departments, noting that the measures will begin with government institutions.
Pezeshkian stressed that the authorities will seek to avoid burdening citizens with the crisis.
Pezeshkian stressed that the continuation of production constitutes a “red line,” pointing out that his government will not allow gas, electricity, and water supplies to stop, in light of the challenges facing the energy and basic services sectors.
Regarding regional tensions, Pezeshkian said that his country does not want war, stressing that it will defend itself in the face of any attack.
He added that Tehran seeks to address its problems through dialogue, stressing at the same time its rejection of what he described as "threats and aggression."
