The Smuggling Investigation Division in the Customs Administration continues monitoring, investigation and raid operations to pursue smugglers and seize counterfeit and smuggled goods, especially those that may pose a threat to the health and safety of citizens, in the face of attempts to introduce and promote them outside the legal and customs frameworks. Based on information and the result of careful follow-up operations, a force from the Smuggling Investigation Division carried out raids in a number of locations on the Matn and Chouf coasts, where they were able to seize very large quantities of smuggled electronic cigarettes (Vape), which were stored inside residential apartments in preparation for their distribution and promotion. All of the seized items were seized, and those concerned were taken to the relevant center, to complete investigations and take the necessary legal measures against them, under the supervision of the competent judiciary. These two operations come in the context of a series of raids carried out by the Smuggling Search Division in various regions, which continues to intensify its proactive operations according to a procedural plan developed by the Customs Administration, to combat smuggling and address all forms of customs violations, in order to preserve the health and safety of citizens, protect the national economy, and prevent evasion of legal and customs procedures.
