The Ministry of Social Affairs issued a statement on the continuity of funding for the (Aman) program, “out of its keenness on transparency and putting public opinion before the financial reality of the program,” and explained that “the additional financing of $200 million from the World Bank has not yet entered into force, as it is still awaiting approval in the House of Representatives.” It stressed that “the financing currently available allows for the continuation of transfers to beneficiaries until the end of the current year, but the continuity and expansion of the program requires completing the additional financing paths as quickly as possible.” She considered that "the continuation of the (Aman) program is a national priority, as it represents a basic protection network for the poorest and most vulnerable Lebanese families, especially in light of the current economic and social conditions."
