The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, condemned the renewed Israeli attacks on the city of Nabatieh and its towns, which resulted in the deaths of innocent victims, severe damage to the Ministry of Finance building there, and the destruction of Ghandour Hospital, stressing that this targeting constitutes a dangerous escalation that goes beyond the limits of repeated violations of the Cessation of Hostilities Agreement and the Framework Agreement, and this time affects the Lebanese state institutions and its service facilities that deal with the affairs of citizens and their daily interests, in addition to a hospital and health centers. President Aoun pointed out that targeting the Ministry of Finance building, after targeting the State Security Center, which previously led to the fall of martyrs, reveals a continuing pattern of attacks that goes beyond the alleged military targets to purely civilian administrations and health centers, which reflects a clear intention to attack the continuity of the work of Lebanese institutions and disrupt people’s daily interests. President Aoun held the Israeli side fully responsible for this ongoing escalation, calling on the United States of America and the international community to take urgent action to stop these violations and hold their perpetrators accountable, stressing that Lebanon, despite all these attacks, is continuing its commitment to what preserves its sovereignty, the stability of its south, and the safety of its citizens. The President of the Republic expressed his mercy on the souls of the innocent martyrs, wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded, and reiterating his full solidarity with the people of the Nabatieh region and the employees of the affected departments and institutions.
