Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraee announced that, within the framework of the focused ground operation carried out by the Givati Brigade forces to expand the scope of the security zone in southern Lebanon, the naval commando forces carried out 13 precise raids based on intelligence information about the presence of combat means inside a school in the village of Khiam in southern Lebanon, in parallel with the unit’s activities in several sea and land arenas.
He continued: The forces found hundreds of weapons inside the school, including: anti-armor missiles, mortar shells, hand grenades, launching pads, light weapons, mines, explosive devices and explosive devices. Indicators belonging to the United Nations organization UNHCR were also found.
He added: Hezbollah is systematically planting terrorist infrastructure within civilian environments and continues to expose the population of Lebanon to danger. The presence of weapons inside a school in the village of Khiam constitutes further evidence of the deliberate exploitation of the civilian population to advance the “party’s” objectives.
