The Directorate of Guidance at the Army Command issued the following statement: “A local newspaper reported news related to the situation of the army during the recent developments, and it referred to the issuance of a statement by the “national officers.” The army leadership is important to clarify that there is absolutely no truth to what is contained in the news about army officers, and that members of the military institution are committed to loyalty to the institution and the country only. The leadership also clarifies that the aforementioned statement has nothing to do with the army, neither closely nor remotely.”
