The Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement: “In light of the Israeli attacks on various Lebanese regions, an Israeli plane dropped paper leaflets over the city of Beirut, containing a link code (QR Code) for the WhatsApp application and another for the Facebook platform to communicate with the Human Intelligence Unit “Unit 504” in the Israeli army, which is concerned with recruiting agents. The Army Command warns citizens of the danger of scanning the code and accessing these links because of the legal liability and security risk it entails, in addition to the ability to hack cell phones and access personal data.
