Hezbollah indicated in a statement that the Israeli enemy army has been trying, for several days, to destroy the resistance defenses in the town of Hadatha by carrying out intensive raids by warplanes and concentrated artillery bombardment, by inserting booby-traps and bringing in bulldozers and engineering machinery, as part of attempts to advance to occupy the town, for which the resistance was waiting. He said: “Yesterday, 5/19/2026, at 20:10, a combined force from the Israeli enemy army attempted to advance, for the third time in a week, from the town of Rashaf towards the town of Hadatha. After the Mujahideen spotted the force, they ambushed it at the southern entrance to the town of Hadatha, in the playground area, and clashed with it with medium weapons and missiles, and achieved confirmed casualties among Its members.” He continued: "At 20:50, a Merkava tank tried to advance towards Barka Hadatha, but the Mujahideen targeted it with appropriate weapons, destroyed it, and then clashed with its garrison." As a result, enemy warplanes and artillery intervened to support the force and cover to withdraw the targeted tank. At 21:05, the resistance artillery targeted with mortar shells the reinforcement forces brought by the enemy army to the southern entrance of the town. He added: "At 22:15, another force tried to advance to the road junction leading to the town of Aita al-Jabal, but the Mujahideen targeted it with direct weapons and destroyed a second Merkava tank." Elah pointed out that at 00:10, the Mujahideen targeted a third tank with a guided missile at the southern entrance to the town of Hadatha, near the stadium, which led to its destruction and the withdrawal of the entire force to Khallet al-Daraj in the Hima area under heavy smoke cover. He concluded: At 03:15, another force from the Israeli enemy army attempted to advance towards the Al-Baydar area from the same route it had taken in two previous attempts over the past days. The Mujahideen were on the lookout for it and clashed with it and destroyed a fourth tank. In the face of this heroic response and the extent of losses among its ranks, the enemy army was forced to retreat at dawn towards the town of Rashaf.
