US President Donald Trump responded to a question about Lebanon and the possibility of Israel expanding its ground operation in the south, and whether Washington supports a possible Israeli invasion of Lebanon, by saying: “The party has been a problem for a long time and not just now. One of the people he recently met, a wealthy man who lives in the United States, told him that his parents reside in Lebanon,” explaining that he “asked him how it is possible to live in a country that is being bombed.” He continued: “This person explained to him that the matter is concentrated in a specific area where the party is located, and that the population has become accustomed to this reality over time.” Trump concluded by saying, "The party is a big problem and is being eliminated quickly."
