A theft worth $85,000...and security forces stop those involved

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement:
On 5/3/2026, the person called M. claimed. M. (Born in 1956, a displaced Lebanese woman) said that, while she was inside a clothing store in the district of Ketermaya, two unknown women fraudulently stole gold jewelry valued at approximately 80,000 US dollars, in addition to 5,000 US dollars from inside her bag, and fled to an unknown destination.
Immediately, the specialized units of the Internal Security Forces began their field and information procedures to uncover the identity of the women involved in the theft and arrest them.
As a result of the surveys and investigations, the Information Division was able to determine their identities, and they are:
– M. H. H. (Born in 1995, Syrian-Palestinian)
– F. C. (Born in 1973, undocumented)
-H. A. (Born in 1983, undocumented)
On May 5, 2026, after careful monitoring and surveillance, one of the Division’s patrols was able to arrest them in the Sabra locality.
During interrogation, they confessed to what was attributed to them in terms of carrying out the aforementioned theft, and to hiding the stolen items inside the home of one of one of them’s relatives. They also admitted to carrying out several similar operations in the cities of Beirut and Sidon.
The legal requirements were carried out against them, and they were submitted to the relevant authority, based on the reference of the competent judiciary.
