Information Minister Paul Morcos condemned in the strongest terms the repeated Israeli attack on media professionals, which led to the martyrdom of photographer and paramedic Ahmed Hariri and his fellow paramedic Ali Ghassani in the Monastery of Qanun al-Nahr. Morcos wrote on his account on X: While I was participating in the meeting of the National Committee for International Humanitarian Law held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Tariq Mitri, in the presence of representatives of international organizations and ambassadors of a number of countries in the government palace, which is dedicated to presenting and documenting Israeli attacks on civilians and health and journalistic teams, was informed with deep sorrow of the news of the martyrdom of the photographer and paramedic Ahmed Hariri and his fellow paramedic Ali Ghassani in the Monastery of Qanun al-Nahr. I condemn in the strongest terms this repeated Israeli aggression, which constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and the protection of civilians and health and media workers. This tragic development came to reaffirm the extent of the documented violations, which Lebanon will continue to present to the international community, especially to the delegation of the High Commissioner for Human Rights expected to arrive in Beirut, within the framework of supporting Lebanon’s position in international forums. Mercy to the martyrs, and patience to their families and colleagues.
