The Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc strongly condemned the American administration’s assault on our country’s sovereignty through its unjust decision to impose sanctions on representatives in the bloc, on officials from the Amal Movement and Hezbollah, officers in the army and public security, and on the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon. She said in a statement, “Our representatives, who represent a wide segment of the Lebanese, are carrying out their national duty in serving the people and defending their interests, enacting legislation in accordance with the constitution for the good of their country, strengthening the rule of law, and monitoring the performance of the executive authority. They are an example of representatives working to protect the sovereignty of their country, reform state institutions, and combat corruption, and advocates of dialogue between the Lebanese to reach an understanding to save their country, protect its civil peace, and one’s coexistence, and reject all forms of strife, and they will not be dissuaded.” The American decision to continue their legislative and oversight role, and to express the aspirations of our people, and to bear the trust of the blood of their martyrs, and their voice will remain a voice of resistance in order to liberate the land, defend and protect the homeland, and build a capable and just state that reassures all its people. She pointed out that the new American attempt to intimidate the official security institutions by targeting officers with sanctions is a blatant attack on the state and a violation of its sovereignty, to undermine the work of its institutions, and to pressure it to comply with American sedition projects, which requires a clear position from the Lebanese authority to protect its institutions from this blatant American interference.
