The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, congratulated the Lebanese at home and abroad on the occasion of the first centenary of the proclamation of the Constitution and the Lebanese Republic (May 23, 1926). He said that in this year, which was declared the year of the Constitution, Lebanon is regaining the meanings of “Lebanon the Message” and its identity, along with the characteristics of democracy and human rights in a nation based on diversity and creativity. He called for organizing intellectual activities to revive the constitutional spirit, strengthen national sentiment, and consolidate modernity as an approach in laws and public policies.
