Hezbollah announced  the implementation of a series of military operations against Israeli army forces and vehicles in the eastern town of Zawtar in southern Lebanon, stressing that the operations came in response to what it described as Israel’s violation of the ceasefire and the attacks that targeted villages in the south and resulted in martyrs and wounded civilians. The party said in successive statements that its fighters confronted, at dawn on Tuesday, an Israeli force that advanced towards Zawtar al-Sharqiya after raids and intense artillery shelling, using rocket weapons, artillery shells and assault drones, in addition to direct clashes, noting that a Merkava tank was destroyed at 08:45 by an “Ababil” drone. The party added that, at 06:45, it targeted an Israeli Hummer vehicle in the riverbed area in the eastern town of Zawtar with an attack drone, which led to its burning. It was also announced that a gathering of Israeli army vehicles and soldiers in the same area was targeted with artillery shells at 07:00, before targeting the same gathering again with a missile salvo at 09:45. The party also indicated that a D9 military bulldozer was targeted at 10:00, and an Israeli communications mechanism at 10:45, using Ababil attack drones.
